Best Pick Hub publishes product recommendations for readers in the United States. This page explains who decides what appears here, what we will and will not do for money, and how to hold us to it.
Independence
We earn commissions when readers buy through our links, and that is the only way this site makes money. It creates an obvious incentive problem, so we run the site under rules designed to remove the temptation.
- Commission rates never affect placement. Products are ordered by how they score against criteria we publish, not by what a retailer pays.
- We do not sell placements or reviews. No brand can pay to be included, moved up, or removed.
- Brands do not see our work before publication. Manufacturers and retailers have no right of review, no approval, and no veto over anything we write.
- Free samples do not buy coverage. If we ever accept a product from a manufacturer, we will say so on the page where it appears.
- We recommend products that earn us nothing whenever they are the better answer.
The commercial arrangements behind the site are described in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
What we choose to cover
We cover categories where a buying decision is genuinely difficult: several plausible options, meaningful differences between them, and enough money at stake that getting it wrong hurts. We stay out of categories where we cannot add anything beyond what the manufacturer already publishes.
We do not cover medical treatments, supplements, financial products, or anything where a wrong recommendation could damage someone’s health or finances rather than their wallet.
Sourcing and accuracy
Every factual claim on this site should be traceable to a source. In practice that means:
- Specifications come from the manufacturer’s own documentation, not from retailer listings, which are frequently wrong.
- Safety and performance standards are cited by name so you can look them up.
- Where we describe patterns in owner feedback, we say that is what we are describing, and we do not present it as measurement.
- If we cannot source a number, we leave it out. We would rather write a qualitative sentence than invent a figure.
We do not fabricate credentials, awards, endorsements, or quotes. We do not present a person as an expert unless they are one.
How articles are produced
Research and drafting on this site may be assisted by software. That never removes a person from the process. Before anything is published, a human editor reads the full article, checks the factual claims against sources, and takes responsibility for what it says. Nothing is published straight out of a generator.
Articles carry the name of the person responsible for them, along with the date of publication and the date of the last substantive update.
Corrections
We will get things wrong. When we do, we want to fix it quickly and visibly rather than quietly.
- Write to [email protected] with the page and the problem. Evidence helps, but a hunch that something looks off is still worth sending.
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as we can confirm them.
- Substantive corrections are noted on the article itself, so readers can see what changed. We do not edit an error out of existence and pretend it never happened.
- Requests from a brand to remove accurate criticism are declined. Requests to correct a genuine factual error are welcomed like any other.
Keeping articles current
Product recommendations decay. Models are discontinued, replaced, or quietly revised. We revisit published roundups on a schedule and after any change we become aware of, and we date every update. An article that has not been checked recently should say so through its update date rather than imply freshness it does not have.
How we reach a recommendation
The method behind our rankings and scores, including the criteria and their weighting, is set out on our How We Review page.
