Best Pick Hub respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same in return. This page explains how to tell us about material on Best Pick Hub that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your material was removed.

Reporting material on this site

If you own the copyright in material published here, or you are authorized to act for the owner, send a written notice to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Notice”.

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a valid notice needs to include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is sufficient.
  3. Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it. A direct link to the page is the most useful thing you can give us.
  4. Your contact information, including an address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf.

Notices missing these elements may not be actionable, and we may come back to you for the missing pieces before we can proceed.

What happens next

When we receive a complete notice, we review it and, where the claim appears valid, remove or disable access to the material in question. We will make a reasonable effort to notify whoever posted it, and to pass on a copy of the notice.

Counter notification

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, you may send a counter notification to [email protected]. It needs to include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, of any judicial district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Misuse of this process

The DMCA provides penalties for knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice or a counter notification. Please be sure of your claim before you send it.

Repeat infringement

We terminate access for contributors who repeatedly infringe the copyright of others.
