Best Pick Hub helps people in the United States choose between products that look almost identical on a retailer’s page and turn out to be very different once they are in your house.
What we do
We publish roundups and buying guides built around a specific reader and a specific situation. The best mower for a quarter acre of flat lawn is not the best mower for two acres on a slope, and an article that pretends otherwise is not much use to either reader. So we pick the situation first, set the criteria that matter for it, and work from there.
We currently cover seven areas:
- Tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Home Office, desks, seating, and printing
- Kitchen, coffee equipment, cookware, and countertop appliances
- Home Climate, air purifiers, humidifiers, heating, and cooling
- Garden, lawn care, watering, and outdoor living
- Pets, everyday supplies for dogs and cats
- Home Gym, strength and cardio equipment
How we work
We are a research and comparison publication. We read manufacturer documentation, check which safety and performance standards a product actually meets, compare warranty terms, and look for failure patterns that show up across many owners over time.
We do not operate a product laboratory, and we say so plainly rather than implying otherwise. Our full method, including the criteria behind the Hub Score and how they are weighted, is on our How We Review page.
Every category here has a writer responsible for it, and every article carries a name, a publication date, and the date it was last updated.
How we pay for this
We earn commissions when readers buy through our links. That is the only way the site makes money, and it creates an obvious conflict of interest, so we are direct about it: commission rates play no part in how we rank anything, brands cannot pay for placement, and nobody outside our editorial process sees an article before it publishes.
The details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page, and the rules we hold ourselves to are on our Editorial Policy page. If you think we have broken one of them, we would like to hear about it.
What you will not find here
- Sponsored articles or paid placements of any kind.
- Invented specifications, invented measurements, or invented expert quotes.
- Medical, financial, or legal advice. We write about equipment.
- Roundups where every product is wonderful. If a product has a flaw, the article says so and names the reader who should skip it.
